An excelent post over at DarwinCatholic discusses an article in Business Week.This study was offered to quantify the cost of banning "second trimester elective terminations for prenatally diagnosed abnormalities." Imagine the public outrage that would greet the publication of a study calculating the cost of not terminating pregnancies if it were broken down into a category such as family income.

I didn't realize this was news. Apparently it is in Wales.The team said that more research is needed to find out just how much alcohol may be damaging to a foetus. But in the interim, the only safe message for expectant mothers is to abstain from alcohol, they conclude.

I have been delinquent in commenting on the Schiavo story. There is so much information out there and so many acusations and counter-acusations that I'm having difficulty in straigtening it all out. After Abortion has some good questions that might take a while to comprehend and answer. In my estimation, I'd say its a prerequisite for an activist to believe that he or she is morally superior. Others might just want to be considered morally equal, but this seems to be like searching for legitimacy or wanting to neutralize the topic. Having an air of moral superiority, however, may not help
