This is Abortion

I have to leave a follow-up to my previous post. There is a video at Abort73 that is not for the faint of heart.

I have seen images before of aborted fetuses, but never have I seen them in action. This video shows how grotesque and spineless we are for allowing abortion in our society. The footage is gruesome and powerful.

It brought me to tears. That hasn't happened for me on this subject that I can recall. I've been disgusted, I've been horrified, but it has not moved me to tears until now.

If you do go to watch the video, I should warn you; I was also nauseous. I sat in front of my monitor with my eyes closed for most of it.

What I think was acceptable about the way the images were used is that they were shown slowly after the video gave you plenty of warning. This is unlike many users of abortion photos who seem to prefer to use an "in your face" approach which seems to me to be disrespectful of the dead.

I must say though, that these photos have always made me wonder: who takes the pictures?

It seemed evident to me that it wasn't someone who was pro-life because surely he or she would have more respect for the bodies of the deceased than to manipulate them for the camera. But on the other hand, why would anyone who supports abortion take these photos?

Well, the end of the video tells me that it is The Center for Bio-Ethical Reform who took the pictures.

At one point, the video uses an obvious but nonetheless poignant framing of the phrase "In God We Trust" with two severed hands. It gets the point across, but I couldn't help but think that this was a grossly disrepectful way to manipulate the victim of abortion by using his or her body as a prop for politcal propaganda. That is, afterall, a human being.

Finally, the last clip of the video is something I have never witnessed. I don't know how old the baby was, but comparing it to a dime wouldn't do. It was too big to fit in a human hand.

This happens every day, multiple times without failure.
